Alhamdulillah, entry pertama kali setelah 4 hari tak berupdate. Mudah2an dengan entry kali ini memberi manfaat kepada adik2 di luar sana insyaAllah. Sebelum tu, tok nak gtau awal2 ni. Entry kali ini KHAS buat bakal2 pelajar Centre For Foundation Studies, International Islamic University Malaysia, CFS iiUM. So kalau korang pun nak tambah ilmu, nak baca, tok alu alu kan sangat2 yer.
Perhatian, entry dibawah menggunakan sepenuhnya international language, English so kalau tak faham tu boleh tanya. Wakaka.

First of all , Bi’ah Solehah is practiced here. What is Bi’ah solehah? Its literal meaning is good environment. Some aspects regarding this:
- Practicing the true Islamic lessons
- Always give salam, smile and husnus zon
- Solat is the pole of Islam religion
- Be aware and preservation of Aurat and Ikhtilah between male and females
- Practicing “Acquiring Knowledge” culture
For the new enrolled students, they will required to sit for three tests during Ta’aruf week that are English Placement Test, Arabic Placement Test & Tilawah Entrance Test.
English Placement Test(EPT):
- Consists of two parts – Reading Comprehension and Writing Essay
- Reading – About 40 questions from about 4 passages.
- Writing – 2 question need to be answered.
- First, Analyzing and describing a given graph/information in about 150 words.
- Second, Argumentative essay. A statement will be given. Students should be agreeing , disagreeing or discussing in about 250 words.
- Both of the parts will be evaluated in ‘band’ from 1 to 9.
- The results will place students in their corresponding level ; usually 3, 4, 5 or 6. There are also students did well are exempted from taking English Proficiency Course here.
- Level 4 and 5 – 16 contact hours per week while level 5 and 6 – 9 contact hours per week.
- There will be the same test in the end of semester. However, there will be also speaking test before the final examinations.
- Students should manage to obtain minimum band 5.5 for reading, speaking and writing but minimum overall obtained is band 6 to be exit from English Proficiency Course.
- Students should be exit from English Proficiency Course to make them qualified to enter the main campus in Gombak or Kuantan.
SAMPLE EPT QUESTION: [READING] ESSAY:[QUESTION 1] [QUESTON 2]
– TIME ALLOCATED FOR EPT IS THREE HOURS(ANSWER BOTH QUESTION, ESSAY AND READING).
Arabic Placement Test(APT):
- Consists of six parts. Arabic basic, Arabic Grammar, Correcting wrong Grammar, Reading Comprehension Filling in the blanks of a passage and Writing an essay
- The total marks for this test 100.
- Students with no Arabic basic will have to take two subjects of Arabic Course which are ‘Intermediate Quranic Language Part 1’ and ‘Intermediate Quranic Language Part 2’
- Students with Arabic basic will be also be placed according to their scores, whether Part, Part 2 or exempted from Arabic Proficiency Course.
- Students should be pass for both Arabic Courses(for those who are taking) to make them qualified to enter the main campus in Gombak or Kuantan.
— TIME ALLOCATED FOR APT IS TWO HOURS.
Both tests will determine the length of studies of students in CFS IIUM whether one year, one and half year or two years.
Tilawah Entrance Test(TEnT):
-
- Students will recite Quranic verses chosen by the Tilawah instructor.
- Students will be categorized into the respective level based on their recitation performance.
- Memorization of simple surahs will be offered to the students who are able to recite fluently with the correct applictation of Tajwid rules.
- The total marks for this test is 100. It consists of 40 marks for Fluency(Fasohah), 20 marks for Nasalization(Ghunnat), 20 marks for Prolonging the madd and 20 marks for Memorization.
- After the test, the results will be shown as follows:

Fundamental Knowledge Test(FTK)
This is a new test introduced for the new intake 2011/2012 session. It is to test the knowledge regarding Fardu ‘ain fundamental knowledge. I am not able to explain more about this test as I did not take it last year.
Application to change offer/program
During ta’aruf program, new enrolled students are given opportunity to apply to change their program. Even though, they are enrolled as pharmacy students and wish to change to biological science which both are having the same subjects to be taken during foundation level, students should know that both of the programs will be channeled to different program in bachelor level which will be totally different of field and syllabus.
Thus, students who wish to be engineer should apply to change to engineering program even though they are enrolled as physical science students which will be studying totally same subjects as engineering student. Students would have to attach their SPM result slip together with the application form. Students should also to give their best reason on why they wish to change program.
There are some characteristics to be taken in approving all the applications – fulfilling the minimum general and specific requirement for the program, availability, merit and reasons to change.
Important to know – at the end of every semester, students are given opportunity to apply to change their program. That is meaning that those who failed to change their program during Ta’aruf program may apply again at the end of semester 1. It is good especially for engineering & physical science students besides medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, allied health science, nursing & biological science as both of these two groups having the same subjects to be taken. Refer below for more details.
Learning and Assessment
- Lecture in class.
- Doing the tutorial questions given by lecturer for particular topic.
- Students need to take Quizzes and Tutorial Tests.
- Doing assignment/presentation for subjects like Computer 1 and 2, Religions In Malaysia, Understanding Islam and Basic Themes of Al Quran.
- Memorization of Quranic Verses for Basic Themes of Al Quran
- Laboratory experiments for Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
- Projects for Architecture program students
- Students will have to sit for Mid-semester examinations at the middle of the semester and Final Examinations at the end of the semester.
- All subjects will have a ‘carry marks’ from quizzes, tutorial tests, assignments, memorization, projects and mid-semester exams that will be calculated together with final examinations for total marks that a student gets for that particular subject.
- Students should attend 80% of the classes. Failing to do so, they will be barred from taking the final examinations.
Academic Workload
- For regular semester, a student must not register for a workload more than 30 contact hours(without language course) and 40 contact hours(with language course). Graduating students are exceptional.
- For short semester, a student can register for a maximum two non-language courses, graduating students are exceptional. The maximum contact hours for the short semester is 32.
- All students are categorized in respective study plan based on their English and Arabic placement test results.

Academic Dismissal
- A student shall be dismissed from the University if
-
- he obtains a CGPA of less than 1.67; or
- he fails to earn a CGPA of 2.00 or above while on probation; or
- he fails (with grade F) three or more core courses and obtains CGPA between 1.67 and 2.00; or
- he obtains a CGPA between 1.67 and 2.00 for the third time which is non-consecutive during his period of studies.

- Application For Readmission
- First year student – a student who obtained CGPA less than 1.00 shall not be considered for readmission while student with no disciplinary problem who obtained CGPA between 1.00 and 1.67 may be considered for readmission on a clean state. The readmission shall be allowed only once.
- Other level students – A student is not eligible for readmission except due to medical or valid emergency reasons. A student shall be readmitted into the semester where the CGPA is of good standing.

Co-curricular Program
- Students will join at least a society based on their program. Example: Engineering students will join ENGENIUS Society, Physical Science and Biological Science will join Pre-Science Students Society(PRESSS).
- The other societies/clubs are opened to students who are interested to join in.
- All Students are required to attend two courses – LeadTrain course and Biro Tata Negara(BTN).
Other information about CFS IIUM
- Students are merely allowed to go out for outing during weekend – Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The time for outing from 9.00 am until 10.00 pm. There is special outing on Tuesday for Petaling Jaya campus for night market.
- Students are required to get permissions from their respective fellow for overnight outing.
- There are Cyber café, photocopy Centre, Cafeteria and launderettes in the campus.
- Dean’s list is a recognition of academic excellence of students who managed to get GPA 3.50 or above and credit hours are 11 or above for that particular semester.

eh kenape 50 org je eh? kat asasi nanti uia amik org untuk dentistry sikit jela ye? susah la nk msuk uia

Tapi itu last choice dalam upu..top choice dentistry. bole tak saya nak tukar program dari econs kpd dentistry.(mksud saya percentage nak dpt tukar tu bole cerah x?) Saya risau sebab econs not a science subject brbnding dgn bio science and allied scn. Lgpun sy xde basic eko n akaun.

sal environment kat UIA ni agak terkawal, islamik lah jugak, nama pun uni Islam kan..
rule dia tak ketat sgt pun, kalau ade sport check pandai2lah ikut rule yer..
kalau kena saman tu bnyk gak denda dia,
arab senang jer, asalkan lulus jer..
pakaian kalau dia ckp dress code, maksudnye baju kemeja putih, sluar slacak hitam, bertie
boleh je pakai baju kemeja kaler pape pun, bercorak jgn kterlaluan..
kalau tak g solat subuh kat masjid, xkena kejar pun…
dia tak wajibkan cuma digalakkan…
yg pasti wajib solat subuh.. haha
kereta atau moto xleh bawak, hanya staff uia je boleh,
parking lots xmuat nak tempatkan kereta students
